Home With the Boys

Thursday, May 5, 2011

Today, Mom, Courtney, and Jonathan all went into town for dentist appointments. Our dentist is an hour and a half drive from where we live, so they left suuuuuuper early - 6:00 AM, to be exact. (And I was up even earlier for milking - approximately 4:50 AM. Wow. But for me it's a great way to start the morning!)

So.....they left at 6:00 and likely won't be home until 6:00 tonight. With all the in-town errands they have to do, it makes a full day! I was left home with THREE cute boys (well, the older one would rather not be called cute), and I just had to take some pictures outside! We've been having great weather lately and today was no exception. I think we may finally be leaving the windy time of the year.

Love this picture of Isaac! He has really gotten the hang of smiling and posing for pictures. He didn't have a clue of what to do when he first came home, but now he's a pro (when he's in the mood for it, that is!). You can see that Joshua still doesn't get it.

Not really sure what's growing in the field behind David and Isaac. It's our neighbor's field and he's grown corn, some sort of grain, and chili peppers in it before, so who knows what he's growing this year! Whatever it is, it's pretty and green!

Okay, I have to admit, Isaac WAS put up to this pose. But doesn't he look so natural?! It was one of those "If you put your hands on your hips and look cute I'll give you a chocolate chip when we get inside..." moments.

Mr. Personality. Totally. (And yes, he was put up to this one, too. Bribery can work wonders.)

Ah yes, the great joys of toddlerhood. We had a major meltdown in the field but Joshua soon got over it.

I used the self-timer on my new camera for this shot!! It is so nice to be able to take pictures whenever I want without having to borrow Courtney's camera!!
