What I've Been Doing Lately
Wednesday, December 9, 2009
Hey, it is Christmas.
But, actually, these treats were actually a gift for someone (who I won't name because they might be reading this blog post)! But, as is custom, I had to sample some.
I mean, I did make it! And, as we always say, "Better taste some to see if it's poisonous or not!"
Wouldn't it be simply awful to poison someone, and all because you didn't sample it? That's my rational when it comes to baking.
Always, always always sample.
On to other things....
This is Pearl, our 1 1/2 year old doe, who is hopefully pregnant again. If all goes well, we'll be expecting little goat babies next April! (I hope she gives birth on my birthday ~ what a fun surprise!)
If you remember, Pearl gave birth to just one little girl last spring, Daisy. Daisy will be pregnant in a few months, as well.
And that's it for now!
What's been filling your days these days? :)

What a fun post, Rachel!!
Those treats look so yummy! ;)
In answer to your question, I've just been busy with school. We've also had a couple of church events going on lately, so that's been fun! :)

You sound very busy, Rachel:) How exciting that Pearl is bred! The kids sure are fun, aren't they?!
Have a good day~

I love "Hinds Feet on High Places"! A great book for any girl, and not like all the awful fiction out there.
I'm doing Biology too! My final is next Tuesday, so I'm doing lots of studying. Never knew that a textbook could be such a good read!
Those pretzels look so good! I'd would taste test my creations, but my brothers do it first, just so I don't get poisoned. Such gentlemen! *sarcasm*

Thanks everyone for your comments!
Jenna - I am SO excited for the kids to be born. It's such fun! (For us, anyway ~ I don't think our doe has much fun with it)
Joanna - how neat that you're doing Biology, too! I'm actually just beginning it.

How are you liking Biology, Rachel? I'm doing it this year, too. :)
Let's see... What have I been doing? A group of girls and I went to a couple of nursing homes yesterday and sang for them, but other than that, it's pretty much the same stuff. School, violin, piano lessons are out for a Christmas break.
What fills my days these days you ask?
Christmas wrapping...Christmas shopping...Christmas making...Christmas buying...Christmas everything!!!!
And she brought forth her firstborn son, and laid him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn. ---Luke 2:7
